The Colby Contemporary Music Ensemble, led by contemporary flutist/conductor Barbara Siesel and composer/conductor Jonathan Hallstrom presents concerts of cutting-edge contemporary music in a variety of styles. The ensemble, which can be elected for academic credit as a chamber ensemble, gives a major performance on campus each semester. Recent concerts have featured works by Don Stein, Mike McFerron, Alfred Schnittke, Franco Margola, and Terry Riley.
