The Colby Symphony Orchestra is made up of a wide variety of musicians. In addition to students, who make up about half of the ensemble, the Orchestra is staffed by Colby's applied music associates and local amateurs and professionals. Rehearsals take place Monday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00. Each fall, auditions are held for all incoming players, primarily to give the conductor an idea of the levels of playing ability available within the ensemble. These auditions are very informal and relaxed. For further information, or to schedule an audition, please contact Professor Jonathan Hallstrom by email or at 207-859-5674.
