Colby-win is a majordomo list service with the purpose of promoting networking, information sharing, and discussion among students, alumni, faculty and staff of Colby and other colleges and universities who are involved or interested in women's issues. Colby-win is intended to serve two primary functions:
(1) to make announcements or inquiries that are of general interest to Colby students, alumni, faculty and staff. These may include postings about relevant publications, conferences, scholarships, fellowships or awards, rallies and marches, and job or Jan Plan opportunities or solicitations.
(2) to discuss issues relevant to the Colby community in terms of how students, alumni, faculty and staff can work together to actively make a difference for women on and off campus. Appropriate topics for discussion include "hot topics" or areas of debate on campus (and how students, alumni, faculty, and staff can be active in decisions or discussions about these issues) and national events in which voices from the Colby community may be of importance.
