The sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in Europe saw a flowering of the use of plucked-string instruments such as the Italian theorbo. Music's Quill (Timothy Burris, lute, and Timothy Neill Johnson, tenor) are joined by Colby’s Collegium director Professor Todd Borgerding on gamba in a program of songs composed for theorbo accompaniment.
