Orchestra E-Card
A Year-Long Tour Through the History of Orchestra Music: The Romantic Period
Colby Symphony Orchestra, Jonathan Hallstrom, conductor; Anna Kelemen ’10, violin
November 1, 3:00 p.m.

We're delighted to be able to perform our opening orchestra concert of the season at the Messalonskee Performing Arts Center at Messalonskee High School in Oakland. It's the orchestra's first performance off-campus in more than 30 years, so why not celebrate with some of the biggies? Included on the program will be Rossini's Overture to La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie), the first movement of Mendelssohn's well-known and well-loved Violin Concerto with student violinist Anna Kelemen '10, and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 From the New World.
