Janet T. Marquardt, Distinguished Professor of Art History and Women’s Studies at Eastern Illinois University, will present a lecture entitled “Making Medieval Modern.” Professor Marquardt will discuss Zodiaque Books, a publishing venture undertaken after World War II by a Benedictine abbey in France, and its profound effects on perceptions of European medieval art.
