AR131 - Foundations in Studio Art
A rigorous introduction to the major materials and media of studio art through projects involving design, drawing, and painting. A range of aesthetic possibilities is presented, and the student is encouraged to explore a variety of approaches. Out-of-class work is essential. No prior experience is required. Students who consider continuing in studio art courses are strongly urged to complete Art 131 in their first year at Colby.
