Allison Ehrenreich, a native New Yorker, first became interested in writing during her sophomore year in high school during the creative writing unit of her English class. The next year, she joined her school newspaper as a writer and an editor--her first introduction to the world of journalism--and since then has not turned back.

A junior at Colby College, Allie is currently spending the spring semester studying abroad in Seville, Spain. At Colby she is pursuing a major in International Studies and a minor in Creative Writing. Since her first semester on the Hill, Allie has worked for the school newspaper, The Colby Echo, first as a reporter on the News Staff and later as News Editor. A Documentary Radio class this fall with Professor Debra Spark expanded her journalistic horizons to include radio. In Spain, she is studying at the University of Seville's School of Communication where she has the opportunity to take hands-on classes such as Narrative Radio and Producing Documentaries.

When she's not writing, editing or studying, Allie mentors an eleven-year old boy from Waterville through her college's Colby Cares About Kids program. She loves spending time with her friends and her sisters, and you can often find her curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee.
