January offers opportunities for students to gain knowledge and experience through internships—living on campus or traveling anywhere in the world. Internships are recommended as a way to test career interests and as a leg up in the job application process. No academic credit is granted for internships, but they may count towards satisfying the Jan Plan requirement. The Career Center maintains a list of internships being offered and works with students seeking opportunities on their own.
