Preparing To Come To Colby In January

Advising Deans
Each student is assigned an Advising Dean and you will be notified in June

Academic Advisor
Each student is assigned a first year advisor based on their academic interests and you will be notified in June.

During registration for JanPlan and the spring term you are encouraged to reach out to your advisor.  In Dijon and Salamanca you will also receive advising from the resident Director and/or a Colby Faculty visitor to meet with you and assist with registration.

JanPlan course selection
You will be notified by the Registrar's office when JanPlan registration is open in October.

Spring term course selection
You will be notified by the Registrar's office when Spring term course registration is open in November.

You will be contacted by the Office of Campus Life in November regarding preferences you may have.

Moving in day is always the day before JanPlan classes start. You will hear more about this from the office of Campus Life in October.

Mailing to and receiving mail/packages on campus: Each student is assigned an individual mailing address at Colby. You may use this address to mail letters or packages no sooner than 1 week before your arrival on campus.

You will be notified about COOT (Colby Outdoor Orientation Trips) during the late fall to register.
Iced COOT is held during the second weekend in January.

C2IT is held during the third weekend in January.
