- U.S. Passports. If you are planning to travel or study abroad, it is not too early to renew or obtain your passport. Processing times have increased in recent months. You should also be aware that in some countries, your passport must be valid for six months beyond your travel dates. You can apply for a new passport at the Waterville post office and get your photos at Elm City photo on Upper Main St. Renewals can often be done through the mail.
