Alumni

Alumni continue to have access to many of the resources they were familiar with as students.  Whenever our license agreement allows, alumni may access database and information tools under the Job Search and Exploration links.  If you are unable to access a resource, please contact Career Services for assistance.

The Colby Alumni Directory is the best resource for finding alumni to network with. You may search by name, career field, job title, employer, or location. All alumni have been given an ID number to all them to enter the on-line community and set a password for their continued use of the database -- it is on the label of all mail you receive from Colby. Please note: Alumni with questions about the directory should contact the Alumni Relations Office at 207-859-4310.

Your reference file is available for use for 15 years after you graduate. After that, files are destroyed unless they are still actively being used. Call, e-mail, fax or mail your requests to have references set out -- we can usually fulfill your requests within one business day.

Alumni are welcome to browse eRecruiting but are unable to post resumes or apply for recruiting events.  Call Career Services at 207-859-4140 for a user name and password.

Career Counseling is available to alumni via appointment.  If you are coming to campus and would like to talk with a staff member, please make an appointment in advance.  Phone appointments may also be scheduled with a staff member.

If you would like to volunteer as a resource to help students learn about your career field, please indicate that in your Colby Alumni Directory profile.  Be sure that Colby has your current home and work information -- new information can be entered directly into the Alumni Directory or you can contact Alumni Relations with the information at 207-859-4310.

Alumni are also invited to campus from time to time to talk about their career experiences.  If you will be visiting campus and would be willing to meet with students, please let us know.  We'll work with you to find a way to link interested students with you during your visit.
