Organizing your e-mails can be a daunting task, especially if you receive several hundred e-mails a day. Colby Apps E-mail has a tool called “Filters” that is designed to automate part of this process.
Filters allow you to organize your e-mail based on things like who the message is from, keywords in the subject, keywords in the body and much, much more. Google has some fantastic documentation on how to create and use filters. Below is a brief video tutorial on creating, editing and deleting filters.
NOTE: If you use an e-mail client like Outlook, Entourage or Eudora and it is configured to fetch your mail via POP3, you shouldn’t create any filters in your webmail. POP3 will only retrieve messages from your Inbox and the use of filters in your webmail may disrupt that.
