Perusall is a popular educational application that allows users to read and annotate texts collectively. Adding the Perusall Activity will let you link your Moodle course to your Perusall account.
Here is how to set it up:
- Add a Perusall Activity to a content block and give it a title. You will only need to do this once, so it may be best to place it in one of the topmost blocks. You may also want to give it the same name as the course to make it easy to identify in Perusall.
- When you click on the Activity, Perusall will create a new Perusall course with the same title as the Activity. The first time you do this, it will ask you to pair your Moodle credentials with Perusall using a verification email. Students will also go through the verification process the first time they click the link.
- When you add a document in Perusall and create an assignment for it, Moodle will
automatically add the assignment to the Moodle gradebook.
