Campus Improvements

The Campus Improvements site was launched to track progress as Colby completed a series of major building and facilities projects outlined in the 2002 Strategic Plan for Colby. Already the building program expanded the developed portion of campus with construction of the Colby Green, and new buildings, additions, athletic facilities, and renovations have enhanced academic, social, residential, and athletic programs.
Current Projects
Mayflower Hill Drive Renovation
Repairs and improvements to the main road through campus have been a high priority for Colby for several years. In 2008 the College took over ownership of Mayflower Hill Drive from Millett House to the field house from the City of Waterville. The mile-long stretch was repaved in 2008, and major reconstruction incorporating traffic calming is planned.
Designing a Science Building
A new science building on Colby Green is the next building planned, as the College looks to provide more and better space for computer science, mathematics, and psychology—all growing majors.
