Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center

SSWAC
Located on the Colby Green, the Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center contains an alumni library, displays of Colby memorabilia and historical photographs, flexible event space for dinners, board meetings, or auditorium-style seating, and offices for College Relations and Communications departments.

The alumni center is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council under the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program.

Colby offers one of the most extensive, varied, and ambitious programs of alumni activity among NESCAC (New England Small College Athletic Conference) colleges. The Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center provides a venue for alumni gatherings and other events, it alleviated administrative and faculty overcrowding in other buildings, and consolidated College Relations functions in one building.

The building also is used by student groups, academic departments, and administrative offices. The late Doug Schair '67 along with Kurt Swenson '67 and Tom Watson '67 jointly gave the naming gift for the new alumni center.
