Info Desk Policies

Tabling Policies (Clubs & Departments)

How do I request a table?
Fill out the Pulver Table Request Form and submit it to the Info Desk Coordinator's mailbox in the Campus Life Office.  Table requests must be submitted and approved beforehand, preferably two weeks before the tabling date.

Where can I table?
Tabling is permissible in Pulver Pavilion and in the lobby outside Page Commons. Pulver Pavilion may host no more than three tables at a time. Furthermore, these tables must not block foot traffic through the building. Only one table may be set up in the Page Lobby.  Please note that due to fire and safety hazards, Page Lobby displays must be on the table and not on the floor in the walkway.  The Bookstore entrance cannot be hindered in any way and all doorways
must be free to allow egress.

When can I table?
Student clubs and organizations, as well as departments, may table any time during the operational hours of Cotter Union (Monday-Friday 7am to 1am, Saturday-Sunday 10am to 1am).  Dates and times are subject to change according to the needs of the college. Space is limited, so reservations are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis.  If you are planning an event in Pulver it must be coordinated through Colby's Scheduling Office.

Can I sell things while tabling?
Yes, as long as the sales are affiliated with the student club's cause (i.e. t-shirts or tickets for an event).  Due to the fact that Colby has contracts with other vendors on campus, certain items may not be approved for sale.  Please visit the Office of Campus Life for approval.

If you wish to allow purchases to be made with Colby Cards, you must fill out the Colby Card Reader Request Form.

Can I do Fundraising while tabling?
Yes, fundraising is permissible, but must receive prior approval through the Office of Campus Life. Furthermore, the funds must be for club-related activities and must be deposited into a Colby student club account.  The Office of Campus Life will need to approve all fundraisers for entities that are not Colby affiliated.

Tabling Policies (Off-Campus Vendors)

Outside vendors are subject to a different registration process.  To apply for a table, vendors should contact the Office of Campus Life at 207-859-4280 or by email at campus.life@colby.edu.  All vendors will need to submit a Vendor Contract, which must be submitted directly to The Office of Campus Life two weeks prior to the requested tabling date.

By loaning bicycles to students and staff free of charge, iBike provides access to environmentally friendly transportation, an alternative form of exercise, and accessible transportation to Downtown Waterville.
