2013-2014 Community Advisor Selection Process

Campus Life is seeking mature individuals with strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to assist students in their personal and academic growth and to develop a hall environment where individual responsibility and respect for differences are fostered and values. The expectation of the CA is to be known, visible, approachable, and active members of the College community. The hall staff position requires dedication, flexibility, commitment and enthusiasm as the CA will actively respond to the changing needs and situations of residents.

Applying for the position of Community Advisor consists of the following:

1. Required attendance at a CA information session or a meeting/conversation with a current CA

2. Suggested attendance at a Career Center workshop

3. Completing the formal application

a. Submitting a resume

b. Submitting two reference forms (may be submitted by the authors)

c. Submitting essay answers

4. Participating in individual and group interviews
