Residential Buildings

Colby College offers a wide variety of housing accommodations, ranging from larger residence halls with 160 students to smaller halls with approximately 40 students, each with its own unique culture.  The halls are comprised of all class years and genders, and housing is guaranteed to all students at Colby.  Specialty housing is available, including substance-free and quiet halls, accommodation housing, the Mary Low Co-op, and Dialogue Housing.  Below is a list of every residence hall at Colby, as well as its location on the campus map.

 
Dana Residence & Dining Hall
 Dana  Dana is one of the largest residence halls on campus!  As the closest hall to the student center, this residence hall is extremely convenient and houses several different sizes of rooms including  singles, doubles, and suites.  Not only a residence hall, Dana is also the biggest of the three dining halls at Colby.  It has the longest of the dining hall hours and offers the greatest variety of food from burgers and pasta to vegetarian options!

Anthony- Mitchell- Schupf
 Anthony, Mitchell, and Schupf residence halls are all connected to form one larger hall known as AMS.  AMS is one of the newest built halls on the campus, only finished in 1997.  It offers all sizes of rooms including singles, doubles, and suites.  There are also common rooms on every floor of all three sections of AMS, as well as study rooms throughout the building.

Foss & Woodman
 Foss Foss is located on the southern tip of the campus.  Rooms in Foss range from singles, doubles, triples, quads, and suites!  Not only a residence hall, Foss is also a dining hall.  Each dining hall offers an array of food, but Foss is specifically known for its vegetarian-friendly menus!

Woodman is connected to Foss and has single rooms, doubles, and triples.  It has a beautiful lawn directly behind it where, throughout the fall and spring, students are commonly seen laying out or playing frisbee!

Mary Low & Coburn

 Mary Low Mary Low has singles, doubles, triples, quads, and suites.  It houses the campus' coffeehouse, where students can relax, hold concerts, or display artwork!

Coburn is connected to Mary Low.  It houses single rooms, doubles, triples, and quads.  Coburn is extremely convenient around meal time as it is a short walk from both Foss and Dana.

Heights

 Heights Heights is nestled up on the hill behind Lorimer Chapel.  This residence hall consists of singles, doubles, and quads.  The Heights lounge is enormous and commonly hosts several campus events throughout the year.

Hillside
Taylor is the first residence hall in the Hillside Complex when coming from the rest of the campus.   Taylor is made up of singles, doubles, and triples.  This hall also has at least one lounge on every floor that students use for studying or just hanging out with other residents!

 Sturtevant Sturtevant is sandwiched between both Taylor and Leonard.  It had four floors made up of singles, doubles, triples, and a suite.  Like the other Hillside halls, Sturtevant is the ideal size for building a tight-knit community!
Leonard is connected to Sturtevant and located next to Marriner. Its three floors are made completely of doubles and triples.  Leonard, like the other residence halls in the complex, houses lounges on every floor within its building!
Leonard 
 Marriner Marriner is located between Sturtevant and Williams.  It is a smaller, more intimate dorm on campus and offers both double rooms and triples. 
Williams is the Hillside residence hall closest to the parking lot.  It houses around 40 students in doubles, triples, and a suite!  Williams, like the other halls in Hillside, has large windows in all of its rooms and a huge common room that houses a ping pong table, couches, and a TV!

Roberts Row
 Piper Piper houses singles, doubles, triples, and suites, as well as having a beautiful view of Johnson Pond.  One would not be surprised to find students grilling outside on a warm, sunny afternoon by Piper.  Like all halls on Roberts Row, Piper is a small residence hall that fosters a tight knit community.  College Campus Map)

Drummond is located in between Piper and Go-Ho and offers single rooms, doubles, and triples.  Conveniently located in the middle of Roberts Row, many Drummond residents can be found tossing frisbees on the lawn or walking by Johnson Pond.

Go-ho  Goddard-Hodgkins (also known as Go-Ho around campus) consists of singles, doubles, triples, and a suite on the ground floor.  Go-Ho was renovated over the summer, and adds itself to the ranks of Pe-Wi and Pierce in terms of being LEED certified.

Grossman  Grossman houses single rooms, doubles, triples, and a suite on the ground floor.  Just a short walk to Roberts Dining Hall ("Bob's"), Grossman is also the closest hall to the Athletic Center and the new turf track and field.

 Treworgy Treworgy was renovated the summer of 2011.  It is extremely convenient for meals as it is the closest dorm to Roberts' Dining Hall.  It is made completely of doubles and one suite.  Like all of the halls on the row, Treworgy has a very large lounge for the whole hall and a community atmosphere!

Pierce was recently renovated in the summer of 2008.  It is made up of singles, doubles, triples, and a suite.  Pierce's lounge has a family room-style with its couches,TV, and ping pong table and is ideal for building a cohesive community.

Pe-Wi  Perkins- Wilson (known as Pe-Wi around campus) was also renovated in the summer of 2008.  It resides in between Pierce and the Mudd Science Facility.  It consists of singles, doubles, and a suite.  Like the other Roberts Row residence halls, Pe-Wi is the perfect size for a more intimate community!

The Quad
 East Quad East Quad is located right behind Miller Library and makes up one corner of the quad.  It offers single rooms, doubles, and triples.  When looking at the front of the building, this hall overlooks Johnson Pond, where students commonly lay out to read and enjoy the weather.

West Quad lies right next to East Quad. West is a larger residence hall and fosters a real community atmosphere.  West Quad is made up of single rooms, doubles, and triples.

Averill
 Averill makes up another of the quad-residence halls.  It contains rooms ranging from singles all the way to suites.  Averill also has a spacious lounge with an adjoining study room that is commonly used by all of its residents.

Johnson is the corner of the quad located nearest to Roberts Row.  It has single rooms, doubles, triples, and suites!  Like Averill, it offers a lounge and study room for its residents.

Alfond Apartments

Alfond  The Alfond Apartments are nestled up on a hill, a little further away from the rest of the campus.  This apartment complex is made up four-person, five-person, and six-person apartments.  This housing option is only for seniors and is extremely popular!
