Students interested in borrowing a federal student loan must submit the Federal Loan Request Form to document their decision to borrow and to select a lender. Please read about federal student loan borrrowing and loan limits, before making any decisions to borrow. Remember, Federal Direct Student (Stafford)/PLUS Loans will show "tentative" on the student account statement within 7 days of receiving a completed Loan Request Form. Federal Stafford/PLUS Loans borrowed from private lenders may not be reflected on the student account statement until funds are received. It is important that when borrowing from a private lender, borrowers be sure all requirements are fulfilled to ensure timely receipt of funds.
