Student Financial Services assists with the financial needs of enrolled students. Payment of charges on the College student bill, financial aid and related matters are key functions of this department. Seniors
In order to participate in Commencement weekend activities and receive a diploma, all financial obligations as well as academic requirements must be fulfilled. Use the link to Student Account Statement on the left to view your student account statement. You may make an electronic payment from a savings or checking account 24/7 with no transaction fee. You must have your bank's routing number and your account number.
Student Health Insurance

Student Health Insurance of $400 will be billed to students planning to enroll at Colby or on a College-billed program for the spring semester. For information about how to waive this coverage and related charge, CLICK HERE.

 

Federal Student Loan Request Form

Students interested in borrowing a federal student loan must submit the Federal Loan Request Form to document their decision to borrow and to select a lender. Please read about federal student loan borrrowing and loan limits, before making any decisions to borrow. Remember, Federal Direct Student (Stafford)/PLUS Loans will show "tentative" on the student account statement within 7 days of receiving a completed Loan Request Form. Federal Stafford/PLUS Loans borrowed from private lenders may not be reflected on the student account statement until funds are received. It is important that when borrowing from a private lender, borrowers be sure all requirements are fulfilled to ensure timely receipt of funds.

Aid Application Deadline for Returning Students
Colby Financial Aid Renewal Applications were mailed home in February 2010. The deadline to apply for financial aid for the 2010-11 academic year is April 15, 2010. There will be a $500 grant reduction for late applications.  Click here for more info about the application process. Aid applications will be reviewed in the order in which they become complete. Students will receive an e-mail message with instructions on how to view the requests on the student's MyColby portal under the Finances tab. Students must log in to see the Finances tab.
