You should get the HIV/AIDS test if:

You are a woman who has had sex with a man who also has sex with men (even once)

You have sex with someone else who shoots drugs

You are a man who has sex with other men (even once)
What is the test?
There is the blood test which tests for type 1 and 2. Blood is taken from your arm for about $25.00.
You can get a oral fluid test which tests for just type 1 for about $30.00. This test is good but not as accurate as the blood test.
Where do I get the test?
You can get the confidential test at The Health Center, a doctor's office, clinic, or special anonymous test sites where you don't have to give your name.
How much does the test cost?
At most of the sites, it costs about $25-30. If you can't pay, you can still get the test. Or, you can also ask your doctor.
How long before I know the results?
About 1 week.
