Denuding "Naked" Cigarettes

If something is advertised as "naked" is your Grandmother going to rush out to buy it? Or is this ploy one example of how the tobacco industry targets youth? In order to maintain their steep profits, tobacco companies must recruit nearly 3,000 new smokers every day to replace the ones who die or are able to kick their addiction. In an effort to stop the declining market for its Winston brand, RJ Reynolds recently launched a media campaign for "Naked" Cigarettes touting "NO additives. True Taste. NO bull." Health professionals fear that the marketing campaign is an attempt to mislead smokers into thinking these cigarettes are a safe alternative to quitting. This is false. These cigarettes still carry all the negative health effects as the fully clothed cigarettes. These effects are too numerous to list here, you know them.

The REAL naked truth: Cigarettes are bad for you. Do not start smoking. If you smoke, stop.
