There are two hospitals in the City of Waterville. Practitioners at the Garrison-Foster Health Center may refer you to either of these hospitals for further care or diagnostic tests. Colby Emergency Response often sends patients to the emergency rooms at these two hospitals. If you need emergency medical care while the health center is not open, contact CER at X5911 *(207-859-5911 from a cell phone). If you need non-emergency medical care while the health center is not open, Colby Security can transport you to either of these two hospitals. MaineGeneral Medical Center - Thayer Campus is located less than a mile from campus. MaineGeneral provides emergency care, diagnostic services, and inpatient and outpatient surgical services.

The Garrison-Foster Health Center has a limited quantity of commonly prescribed medications available for purchase at the nurse's desk. If the prescription medication that you need is not available at the Garrison-Foster Health Center, you can purchase them at one of Waterville's local pharmacies.
