Practitioners

Dr. Paul Berkner - DO, FAAP: Medical Director
Dr. Berkner received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from New England College, and completed his residency in Pediatric at Columbia University - Morristown Memorial Hospital. He is currently certified in pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Before coming to work for Colby, Dr. Berkner was in private pediatric practice. During that time, he served as the Medical Director for the Northland Job Corps, and served as the Medical Director for several summer camps. Dr. Berkner is currently the President of the Maine Concussion Management Initiative. Dr. Berkner has been employed at Colby College since 2005.

 

Lydia Bolduc Marden - NP, WHNP, FNP: Women's Health Specialist
Lydia is certified both as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She recieved her Bachelors of Science in Health Education from the University of Maine at Farmington, her WHNP certification from Planned Parenthood from the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, and a Post-Masters and FNP certification from Husson College. In addition to her role in women's health and primary care, Lydia is responsible for the planning and implementation of First Year Wellness Seminars. Lydia is also the travel medicine consultant for Colby College. She also serves as the advisor to Student Health on Campus (SHOC). Lydia has been employed at Colby College since 1985.

 

Holly Gerlaugh Weidner, FNP, PA-C
Holly joined Colby College in 2011 after more than 30 years in family medicine, and as a faculty member to family medicine residents at the Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine.  Her international experience has included providing medical care in an outpost station in Esteli, Nicaragua, supervising medical students in Jamaica, setting up cervical cancer surveillance programs in Puerto Cabeza, Nicaragua and teaching nurse practitioner students in the Dominican Republic. She received her BA in Biology at Cornell University in 1975 and her MS in Nursing at Pace University.   She then joined an internal medicine team at the Anthony Jordon Health Center in Rochester, NY in 1977.  She is certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-APNC) and a Physician Assistant (PA-C).

Jennifer Griffiths Riddle, MSN, FNP-C
Jennifer is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She received her Bachelors of Science
in Nursing at the University of Maine at Orono, and her Masters of Science in Nursing and FNP
certification at Barry University in North Miami Beach, Florida. Jennifer comes to us with 14 years
of primary care experience in a private pediatric practice. Jennifer has been employed by Colby
College since 2011.
