Nurses are available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends noon to 8 p.m., while school is in session, to answer questions, administer immunizations, change dressings and provide other treatments. After office hours we are also available to evaluate illness or injury, give certain medicines per protocol, contact the practitioner on call, talk with you about concerns, or help you access a counselor. We can arrange for you to go to the hospital if necessary.
During Thanksgiving break the health center building is usually closed, but a nurse can be reached via security to arrange for care.
Students may use the walk-in clinic Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends noon to 8 p.m. when you need to see a nurse. A nurse can help you if you have had an accident that needs to be evaluated, or are sick and not quite certain what to do, or if you just have health questions. Allergy injections require advanced appointments with a practitioner present. Appointments can be made by calling extension 4460.
