Each fall, Colby offers benefitted employees the opportunity to review and make changes to their benefit elections. The enrollment period is Friday, October 30 to Friday, November 20, 2009. Effective January 1, 2010, Colby's health care provider will change to CIGNA HealthCare. Although employee contributions will remain the same as in 2008 and 2009, we strongly encourage all employees with benefits to go to the on-line enrollment page to review their current elections and make any necessary changes. If you would like to participate in a Flexible Spending Account account (FSA) or the Vision Plan (VSP), please remember you need to re-enroll in these every year. However, if you enroll in the CIGNA Choice Fund (HSA), you may not have a medical reimbursement FSA. The monthly Vision Plan rates are increasing approximately 5% in 2010, to $7.76/month for employee coverage or $16.68/month for family coverage. Our current life insurance rates remain in effect in 2010, but keep in mind that contributions towards the age-based life insurance may change, if your age is now in a new age group. INFORMATION SESSIONS Representatives from CIGNA Health Care will be joining Colby HR to review our benefit programs, provide additional information and answer questions. Depending on the amount of questions, the information sessions may last up to 90 minutes and will highlight the vision plan, life insurances, flexible spending and health care options (with the last 30 minutes focused on the Choice Fund HSA).
