Building Maintenance Technician DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL PLANT
The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for tasks relating to the general maintenance of building systems in a commercial/educational setting. These include general carpentry areas, such as windows, glass, flooring, walls, roofs, and masonry. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience: A High School Diploma or GED; Minimum 5 years progressive experience in building trades; Certificate of Completion from a two year community college in a Building Trades program or 10 years progressive building trades (May be substituted for the education); Specialized training/experience in masonry, roofing, or finish carpentry highly desired; Valid drivers license required and eligible to be certified by the College’s automobile insurance carrier; Basic computer skills are desired, i.e., word processing, email, and spreadsheet software. This position reports to the Building Trades Supervisor.
