The Department of Computer Science at Colby College is seeking to fill a one year, full-time visiting faculty position in computer science. A full teaching load at Colby is five courses. The courses will include a mix of core CS courses and upper level electives. Candidates with the ability to teach computer graphics or computational photography are especially encouraged to apply.
The position start date is September 1, 2013. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a Ph.D. in computer science or a related area; applicants close to finishing their Ph.D. will also be considered.
Colby College is a highly selective, comprehensive liberal arts college in Waterville, Maine. The department offers a major and a minor in computer science and has a focus on interdisciplinary applications of CS. The department also participates in majors in Interdisciplinary Computation in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Theatre, and Music.
