The Instructional Media Specialist will provide instructional design assistance and information technology support to the Colby community, manage the College's Language Resource Center (LRC), Instructional Media Center (IMC), and offer instruction in multi-media production and authoring with a special focus on the integration of technology into the curriculum. The Specialist will consult with faculty and staff on the wide spectrum of educational technologies available to them and support their use in teaching, administrative and research activities. Qualifications include: a Bachelor’s degree is required; experience is necessary with current technologies and teaching methods, including digital video and audio systems; web authoring applications; Microsoft Office application suite; and other general computing tasks, especially foreign language computing issues; managerial and teaching experience is highly desired.

Successful candidate must have an appropriate vision for the role of instructional technology in the liberal arts curriculum, leadership ability, organizational skills, ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with a team, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
