Colby is a highly selective, liberal arts college of approximately 1800 students located in central Maine. The college is three hours north of Boston and has easy access to lakes, skiing, the ocean and other recreational and cultural activities.

Tenure-track assistant professor, beginning September 1, 2013. Candidates should have a Ph.D in mathematics and should be engaged in an active research program in applied probability, stochastic processes, or a closely related field. The appointee will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program while also being an exceptional teacher and advisor at the undergraduate level. Evidence of exceptional teaching ability is required. The teaching responsibility is five courses per year.
