Psychology - Assistant Professor, One Year (Social Psychology)

The Department of Psychology at Colby College has a one-year visiting position in Social Psychology at the Assistant Professor level beginning September 1, 2010. The successful candidate will be supported in establishing an active program of research and will be expected to involve Colby’s exceptional undergraduates in that research, to supervise undergraduate independent study, and to teach with passion and a commitment to excellence. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in a team-taught introduction to psychology course, as well as introductory and advanced courses in social psychology. The specific area of research interest is open; the ability to contribute to the department’s methodology and statistics offerings is desirable. The Ph.D. should be completed by starting date. The teaching load for the year is four courses in addition to segments of a team-taught introductory course and supervision of senior projects.
