To customize your Mirapoint settings, click on "Options" in the upper right hand corner of your window:  There are a number of general and mail settings you can customize. As you move from option to option, you will notice that many screens have an Apply button just below the header bar, which shows the name of the option you are changing:  NOTE: In order for your changes to be saved, you must click Apply before going to the next option or closing out of Options. After you click Apply, you will received confirmation that the change was successful:  When you have finished making changes, click on the Close button in the upper right hand corner of the Options window:  Back to top
Personal - Allows you to set: - Full Name. Enter your full name as you'd like it to appear in e-mails.
- Time Zone. This allows you to set a region/place nearest to your location. If this is not specified, the system time is used.
- Message Character Set. This allows you to select the character set your outgoing messages will use.
Click Apply to save any changes you make. Color Theme - Allows you to change the colors of your Mirapoint window. Select a color them from the drop-down menu. Click on Apply to save your choice. About - Displays the version of Mirapoint you are currently running. Back to top
- This section includes options for displaying your mail, renaming default mail folders, and setting some default actions. Display - Messages Per Page. Enter the number of messages to display on one page of a message list and list views in Contacts. Colby's default is 30. For slower Internet connections, 10 messages per page is better. The maximum is 50.
- Most Recently Received. This sets the order in which your message list diplays.

- First (the default) displays messages in descending order, with the most recently received messages at the top of the first page of messages.
- Last displays messages in ascending order, with the most recently received messages at the bottom of the last page of messages.
- Message Pane. Allows you to Show (default) or Hide the message pane (the preview window at the bottom of your list of emails which displays the contents of an email when you click on it). NOTE: You may need to sign out and sign back in to see this change.
- HTML Messages. This allows you to control whether certain content is downloaded to your computer. This includes pictures, background images, sounds, etc.

- Block external content until requested (default) will not download potentially harmful content when you view the message. Depending on your browser, you may see placeholders or empty space where this blocked content would be. At the top of a message that has had content blocked, you will see a notification line telling you that. You can click on Show Content in this notification line to unblock the content.
- Show external content immediately downloads all the parts of a message as soon as the message is viewed.
Rename Folders - You may rename four of the default mail folders in this section. The four folders you can rename are the Sent Folder, the Draft Folder, the Junk Mail Folder and the Trash Folder. You may not rename your Inbox.
NOTE: If you rename one of these folders, the orginal folder and its contents, will be moved into the list of folders beneath the list of system folders. A folder with the new name will now appear in the list of system folders and any filters you have in place for these default folders will now go to the newly named folder. Message Actions - Save Sent Messages. Yes (default) or No. If this is set to Yes, a copy of each message you send will be saved to your Sent folder. If you have renamed the Sent folder, messages will be saved to the folder with the new name.
- Delete to Trash. Yes (default) or No. This determines how deleted or moved messages are handled and also enables the Empty Trash menu item in the Delete menu.

- Yes moves messages selected for deletion to the Trash folder where they remain until you Empty the Trash from the Delete Menu:
 Messages selected to be moved to other folders are moved to the folder directly. - No changes the Empty Trash option in the Delete Menu to a Compact option:
 Messages you Delete or move are marked with a Deleted icon ( ). Messages you select to move to other folders are COPIED to the desired folder. Select the Compact option from the Delete menu to actually delete the deleted messages and remove the moved messages from their current folder. Back to top
- Mirapoint's Auto-reply feature allows you to create a message that will be automatically sent out in response to incoming mail, when you are away from your e-mail. This response is sent out once to each sender until you specifically turn it off. You will need to log in to Mirapoint to create or stop an Auto-reply message. - This allows you to create a personal signature to be appended to your outgoing e-mails. - Include Signature.

- Yes will automatically insert your signature into the body of a new message, with one line above it for you to start entering the text of your message.
- No (default) will leave the body of a new message blank. NOTE: If you have created a signature, click the Insert Signature button in the toolbar of the Compose window to add it to the body of a new message:
 - Signature. Enter the text for your signature in this text box.

- Filters will act on your incoming mail based on conditions or rules you set here. - Add filters. To add a new filter:

- Click on the New button:
 - Set the filter conditions, including whether the action should be taken if all OR any of the conditions are met. You will need to select
* Filter types include filtering by Sender, To/CC recipients, Subject, text of a message or attachment, etc. * Conditions for the filter object include contains, does not contain, matches (can use a * for wildcards), does not match, is less than and is more than. * A value for the filter type. This can be text, integers or file types. If you condition includes matches or does not match, you can use wildcards of a * (matches any sequence of zero or more characters) or a ? (matches any single character). NOTE: You may add additional conditions by clicking on the More button on the right side of the window, just above the first line of conditions:  - Apply to all incoming messages is disabled by default, as the filter action set below are done regardless of the conditions set! This is best used as a final filter in a series of filters to act upon all unfiltered mail.
- Set the Filter Actions:
* You may select a folder to move the message to and a corresponding flag that should be applied to the message: Deleted, Read, or Answered (meaning you have sent a reply to the message or forwarded it). * You may enter an e-mail address to which to forward the message. NOTE: No copy of the forwarded message is saved for you. * You may enter an e-mail address to which to forward an excerpt of the message. The first several lines will be forwarded. * You may discard the message. NOTE: Use with caution -- MESSAGE WILL BE DELETED AND IRREVOCABLY LOST!! - If you have selected filter types and conditions for attachments, you can choose to Remove attachements that meet attachment conditions. If you check this box and attachments are removed, a message will be appended to the body of the original mail indicating an attachment was removed.
- If a message qualifies for action by your filter, the Do not apply any more filters to this message if action is taken checkbox (checked by default) will prevent action by any other filters in your list of filters that are after the acting filter.
- Click Apply to save your filter! You will be returned to the Message Filters page and your new filter will appear at the bottom of the page.
- Order filters. If you have multiple filters, Mirapoint will begin at the top of the list and work to the bottom, unless you have checked the "Do not apply any more filters..." box. To change the order of your filters, click the
up or down arrows in the Order column to reorder your filters. - Edit filters. To edit a filter, click the
icon to edit and change a filter. Remember to click Apply when done! - Delete filters. To delete a filter, click the
icon to delete a filter. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the filter. Back to top
