Windows 2000/XP - Adding a Printer via the Print Server



These instructions are for faculty and staff. 
Students who need to print a document should go to one of the public labs.


  1. Go to Start -> Run
  2. Type \\printserver1
  3. Click OK

  1. Scroll through the Print Server list until you find your printer

  1. Double click on the printer name to start the auto setup
  2. Once the printer window opens choose Printer -> Set as Default
