Faculty and Staff may find the instructions here useful for their own personally owned computers as well. - Policy on Removing Viruses: SCS will make their best effort in removing a virus. We can not guarantee when removing a virus that it may not cause more problems. In some instances removing viruses from the computer may adversely affect the operating system. This can cause serious problems and may require re-installation. Since SCS does not reformat or install OS's you would then need to contact the vendor or take the computer to a local repair shop in town...or try to fix it yourself.

- Students with Windows computers are required to have anti-virus software installed and kept up-to-date. Several anti-virus programs are available for purchase, or you may download a free version.
- Free Anti-Virus programs available for downloading are - AVG, Avira, Avast, or Security Essentials.
- If you prefer to use another virus program, please keep the virus definitions up to date at all times.
- Warning: You can only have one virus program on your computer at any time without causing problems.
