Virtual Private Network (VPN)

The Colby VPN provides a secure tunnel between your computer and the Colby network and can be used to gain access to network resources from off campus. While at home or traveling, users can connect to the VPN to utilize resources such as file servers, print servers, web resources, Jenzabar Cx (CARS) and software licensing. It is strongly recommended that you use the VPN connection when connecting over any unsecured (open, public) wireless network. A valid Colby account is required to setup the VPN on your computer. Follow the instructions below based on your computer's operating system: If you have questions or problems with regard to installing or using the VPN, faculty and staff may contact the Support Center at support@colby.edu or ext. 4222 and students may contact Student Computer Services at scshelp@colby.edu or ext. 4224. All VPN users are required to adhere to the VPN policy as well as all other relevant ITS policies. |
