Colby Reading for Equity AND Diversity Together Project provides participants with a book on contemporary issues or experiences relating to social justice and/or diversity. The R.E.A.D. Project offers participants a featured book and if they choose an opportunity for group discussion. The 2013 academic semester featured readings are: Yellow: Race in America beyond Black and White by Frank Wu (Book discussion will be during dinner on October 13, 2013 prior to Chancellor Frank Wu's lecture) Searching for Zion: The Quest for Home in the African Diaspora by Emily Raboteau (Book discussion will proceed lecture by Author Emily Raboteau sponsored by African American Studies) The Soul of A Citizen: Living with Conviction in Challenging Times by Paul Rogat Loeb (co-sponsored by Office of Religious and Spiritual Life).
