As a community centered on intellectual inquiry and built on individual respect, the personal health and safety of students is Colby's highest priority at all times.  Colby will not tolerate acts of sexual misconduct in any form.  We strive, through education and advising to prevent sexual assault, harassment, stalking, intimate partner violence, and other forms of sexually intimidating or threatening conduct.  Colby aims to foster an atmosphere of awareness and commitment to dignity that is supportive of women, men, and individuals of all gender and sexual identities.  

Regrettably, cases of sexual misconduct will sometimes occur despite our best efforts to prevent them. Colby strongly encourages individuals who have been subject to, or have witnessed sexual offenses to report them promptly to the College and local law enforcement agencies.  Colby maintains and administers clear procedures for adjudicating sexual offenses that violate College policies. Additionally, we provide health care, counseling, and advising to support victims and advocates for victims of sexual misconduct.
