Co-Sponsoring

Organizations may occasionally want to co-sponsor events with other groups on campus. By sharing expenses, organizations may be able to afford speakers or performers that would otherwise be outside their budget. Organizations might also consider asking academic departments to help sponsor speakers when appropriate.

The Student Government Association (SGA) maintains a budget to help co-sponsor activities. Contact the SGA for information on SGA co-sponsorship.

The Student Programming Board (SPB) is always interested in co-sponsoring opportunities.  SPB does not donate funds to other organizations, but they do work with other clubs and orgs to plan and present events together.  Funding, along with the collaboration, is shared between the clubs.  Contact SPB for information on SPB co-sponsorship.

The Cultural Events Committee (CEC) helps fund a number of campus activities. Contact Kelly Wharton, Director of Campus Life, for information on CEC funding.

The Office of Campus Life has a limited budget for programming activities. Contact Kelly Wharton, Director of Campus Life, for information on Campus Life co-sponsorship.

Clubs and organizations as well as faculty departments may be interested in co-sponsoring events. Contact the appropriate club leader or department chair to inquire about co-sponsorship possibilities.

When 2 or more groups co-sponsor an event, it is likely that one group will ask for money to be internally transferred to another group's account. In order for funds to be transferred from one account to another, you must complete a FINANCIAL TRANSFER AUTHORIZATION FORM, available in the Campus Life office. Completed forms should be submitted to the SGA/SPB/PCB Treasurer.
