Hello Colby!  Please excuse the look of our website as we take the time to improve the navigation of our web resources within the Office of Campus Life.  This will be an ongoing project begun in January, 2011.  Many of our pages may seem out of place, cluttered, or may contain old information.  This will all be remedied soon.  In the meantime, we appreciate your patience!

Permission to stay on campus will ONLY be granted when sponsored by a campus department. Please DO NOT make plans to remain on campus past Tuesday, May 17, unless you have received permission to do so from the Office of Campus Life. Students remaining on campus without permission will be fined at a rate of $100/day and escorted from campus.

All forms must be submitted by Monday, May 2nd to be considered.

Mission
The Office of Campus Life is committed to engaging, supporting, and empowering Colby College students as they take ownership of their college experience. Student engagement is facilitated through student organizations, student governance, residential living and learning, campus programs, and outdoor education. Support is provided through group and individual advising, and empowerment is encouraged through intentional program development, self governance, diversity and inclusion education, and opportunities to develop and practice leadership. Our strategic goals are to cultivate experiential learning opportunities, foster an inclusive and vibrant community, develop leaders, and promote positive citizenship within the Colby College, local, and global communities. more
 
 
STUDENT LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

 There are many opportunities for students to take up leadership roles at Colby College; from student government to hall staff to our student club and organization programs. Below is a list of a few of the student organization/leadership opportunities that are available on campus through the Office of Campus Life.

 

Community Advisor - New Hire Selection Process

Campus Life is seeking mature individuals with strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to assist students in their personal and academic growth and to develop a hall environment where individual responsibility and respect for differences are fostered and valued. The expectation of the CA is to be known, visible, approachable, and active members of the College community. The hall staff position requires dedication, flexibility, commitment and enthusiasm as the CA will actively respond to the changing needs and situations of residents.

Group Interview - Sunday, February 19, 2012   1:00-4:00 pm
