As much as anything else, it is the distinctive campus atmosphere that sets Colby apart from other outstanding liberal arts colleges. Life on Mayflower Hill is built on a sense of community shared by students and professors. Visitors often notice it, and a surprising number of Colby students will tell you they “just knew” Colby was right for them at first sight. Try as we might to describe Colby’s active community life, you have to experience it to understand fully, so visits are highly recommended.
