Financial Aid at Colby
Colby's Office of Admissions and Financial Aid provides services to the families of all entering students regardless of their income levels. In addition to families' grants, loans and special scholarships that are drawn from College funds, federal and state programs, and outside scholarship agencies, we offer information on several financing options as well as guidance on non-need-based student loans and campus jobs.

How to Apply for Aid
Students apply for aid before they are notified of admission to Colby. A complete aid application for U.S. citizens, dual-U.S. citizens, and permanent residents consists of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile form.

Applicants for admission to the Class of 2016 should submit the 2012-2013 FAFSA by February 1, 2012. Each financial aid applicant must also submit the CSS Profile form by February 1. Parents' and students' 2011 tax returns will be requested in April.

Early Decision candidates for the Class of 2016 should send the Colby financial aid application, along with recent parent pay stubs, to Colby before November 15, 2011 (ED I, fall option) or January 2, 2012 (ED II, winter option).

Admitted Early Decision candidates will be asked to submit a 2012-2013 FAFSA.

The financial aid application deadline for transfer applicants enrolling in the fall is March 1.
