A campus visit provides an opportunity to experience what makes Colby special. We invite you to visit Colby for an interview, a tour, or an information session. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. PLEASE NOTE:- No tours, information sessions, or interviews, will be available Wednesday, May 9, 2012, through Sunday, June 3, 2012. ToursStudent-led tours offer visitors a chance to explore the campus and to become familiar with Colby's programs and facilities as well as the many different aspects of student life. Tours include visits to classroom buildings, Miller Library, science laboratories, Cotter Union, dining halls, and residence halls. Families are also welcome to see other buildings including the performing arts facilities, the Museum of Art, the athletic complex, and the bookstore, all of which are open during most of the year. All tours leave from Lunder House. No appointments are necessary for tours. Should our tour schedule not meet your needs, self-guided walking tour booklets are available at Lunder House.
While there is no substitute for an actual visit to Colby, our interactive campus map and student produced video tour offer two on-line alternatives to acquaint you with the College. No appointments are necessary to attend an information session. A member of the admissions staff is available to discuss specific aspects of the admissions and financial aid process as well as the Colby experience in general. Information session and tour times are scheduled to accommodate visitors who wish to do both.
Interviews, though not required, are strongly recommended. The interview gives you an opportunity to obtain specific answers to your questions about Colby and allows us to get to know more about your personal interests and strengths. On-campus interviews will be available beginning June 4, 2012. Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at 207-859-4800 or 800-723-3032 beginning Monday, April 9, 2012. Students who cannot visit the campus may contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and arrange for an interview with a local alumni representative. These appointments will be available beginning September 1, 2012. Additional opportunities for off-campus interviews with members of the admissions staff will be available in select cities in summer 2012 and in fall 2012.
