A visit to the campus of any college will give you additional insight into what that college offers. We hope you will accept our invitation to visit Colby for an
interview,
a tour, or an
information session.
Office hours are are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays in April, and September through December. The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid is closed this summer on July 3 and 4, and on September 7 (Labor Day).
Student-led tours offer visitors a chance to explore the campus and to become familiar with Colby's programs and facilities as well as the many different aspects of student life. Tours are available on all days when the Admissions Office is open and include visits to classroom buildings, Miller Library, science laboratories, Bixler Art and Music Center, Cotter Union, and students’ rooms. Families also are welcome to tour our performing arts facilities, art museum, and athletic complex, which are open during most of the year.
All tours leave from Lunder House, with the exception of the 11:00 a.m. Saturday tour in the summer which departs from the Colby Museum of Art. Because tour times occasionally change, especially during Colby vacations and exam periods, please call ahead to confirm times. No appointments are necessary for tours.

While there's no substitute for an actual visit to Colby, our interactive campus map and student produced video tour offer two on-line alternatives to acquaint you with the College.
Interviews, though not required, are strongly recommended. The interview, with a professional member of the admissions and financial aid staff, gives you an opportunity to obtain specific answers to your questions about Colby and allows us to get to know more about your personal interests and strengths. Interview appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Admissions Office at 207-859-4800 or 1-800-723-3032.
Students who cannot visit the campus may contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and arrange for an interview with an alumni representative in a nearby area. Alumni interviews may be requested from July 1 to January 15.
Additional opportunities for off-campus interviews with members of the admissions staff may also be available during the spring and fall.

No appointments are necessary to attend a weekday information session. A member of the admissions staff is available to discuss specific aspects of the admissions and financial aid process as well as the Colby experience in general.
