Children’s Program at Reunion

Cookie decoratingFriday
Children are welcome all weekend long. Free drop-off childcare is available Friday afternoon during faculty lectures in the Diamond Building. Parents must check in children and remain in the building.

Friday evening activities include a reunion carnival in Pulver Pavilion from 6 to 10:30 with music and family activities. Preregistration is not required, and the event is free and open to everyone. The Joseph Family Spa, located in the pavilion, will be open with snacks and light meals available for purchase.

Saturday
A full program of supervised activities is planned for children of all ages Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight. For $30 your child will be entertained, fed, and closely supervised. You must preregister for Saturday childcare. We cannot accept walk-ins because of limited space, so please register early. Refer to your registration form for details.

Babies and children up to 12 may attend the children’s program. Run by experienced college-age supervisors with help from area high school students, the ratio of babysitter to child is one to two or three. The program includes a family fun tent, sports, and crafts, with movies and other entertainment at night. Snacks and dinner will be provided.

For infants through age 4, there is a separate, supervised childcare area with space for naps, rocking chairs for nursing mothers, age-appropriate toys, snacks, and movies.

Preregistered children are required to wear a colored vest (provided) and a nametag to identify them as part of the program. These children will be assigned to a small group supervised by a member of our childcare staff.

Parents are required to fill out a medical release card and must sign their children in and out of the program at the main childcare desk. Parents must remain on campus while their children attend childcare.

Children should bring a bag or backpack for their belongings. Items to bring include extra clothing, a sweatshirt or windbreaker, and perhaps a water bottle. Please clearly mark names on all items.
