Karlene Burrell-McRae was a Bunch Scholar at Colby. An anthropology major and women's studies and sociology minor, she was on the track team and was a member of SOAR, SOBHU, and the Senior Pledge Committee. She completed three semesters and one JanPlan abroad. Karlene earned an M.S.Ed. and an M.S.W. at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is currently working toward an Ed.D. in higher education management. She is the director of MAKUU: Black Cultural Resource Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
