Welcome to gift planning at Colby. The warm and quiet summer days have turned into the crisper, livelier days of fall, and the campus is once again bursting with energy. Colby’s bicentennial Class of 2013—495 strong—has arrived on campus, having been selected from more than 4,520 applicants. Although the memories of your freshman fall at Colby may seem far away, you may find yourself facing other new adventures given the recent economic turmoil. We hope you will peruse the information available to you on our site and take some time to read our donor stories. Just like when you were a freshman, getting some helpful and friendly advice from someone you can trust can go a long way. We also want to reinforce that there are still ways to continue to support Colby and regain some control of your own financial situation, through such tools as charitable gift annuities, trusts, and bequests. We hope that if you feel inspired (or even vaguely curious) after looking at the information presented here you’ll consider giving us a call to talk about how a planned gift might work for you. Together we can create a plan to help you meet your financial and philanthropic goals. Let’s talk. Warm regards, Susan Cook ’75
