As co-chairs of the Parents Executive Committee, we welcome new and returning parents to the Colby community as we begin the 2011-12 academic year.
Parents are an important part of the Colby community. All parents of current students and alumni are members of the Parents Association. The association offers every parent opportunities to be involved with College activities and provides a formal link to Colby. Parents are invited to attend Family Homecoming Weekend, this year October 28-30, and to subscribe to the monthly electronic parent newsletter, Parents Out of the Blue. They also receive the quarterly Colby magazine. The College encourages and appreciates parent support of athletic programs, the arts, performances, service on the Welcome Committee, sponsorship of student intern and career opportunities, and financial contributions through the Colby Fund for Parents. Colby parents of current students can have an id and password into the myColby portal. Access to the student statement, schedule and grades may be granted by your student. If you have been given access but need help with your ID or password please email mycolby@colby.edu and supply your name (and ID if known) and your students name (and ID if known). If you do not have an ID and password for myColby please contact your student.
Colby students document life on Mayflower Hill for publications and Web pages, and they share images in a weekly online photo gallery called The Student Lens.
Colby parents are also members of the Colby Alumni Network. You can search for other Colby parents in your city, state, or region by joining the CAN.
