WATERVILLE, Maine — Taggie Martin (New Canaan, Conn.) is the fourth Colby College golfer since 2000 to earn New England Small College Athletic Conference all-league honors and just the second player over that time to earn first-team status.
Martin, who finished in sixth place at the NESCAC Championships Qualifier this past weekend, was honored Tuesday. He led the meet after the opening round Saturday with a 3-under-par 69 before closing with a 78 on Sunday for a two-day total of 147.
Martin joins Gus Thompson (2007) as the only players to make the NESCAC first team for Colby. Current teammate Harry Smith (2009) and Jake Hobart (2001) were on the second team.
