Colby volleyball goes 1-2 at Williams Invitational
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --
The Colby College volleyball team beat Colby-Sawyer and fell to Williams and Springfield at the Williams College Invitational on Saturday.
Junior setter Kimberly Prescott (Los Alamitos/Buena Park, Calif.) had 35 assists and Cait Cleaver (Unionville/Kennett Square, Pa.) finished with 11 kills in a 30-22, 30-24, 31-29 victory over Colby-Sawyer. Abbey Stella (Westfield/Westfield, Mass.) added 10 kills and Johanna Schroeder (Salmon/Salmon, Idaho) had eight kills.
In a 30-18, 30-23, 22-30, 30-20 loss to Williams, Cleaver had 22 kills and 10 defensive digs. Prescott had 45 assists and Jennifer Radcliffe (South Eugene/Eugene, Ore.) had 10 kills and 11 digs.
Cleaver had 12 kills and Alyssa Henley (St. George's/Spokane, Wash.) had seven in a 30-23, 30-25, 30-17 loss to Springfield.
Colby (13-5) will play in a NESCAC Tournament next Friday and Saturday at Trinity College. The Mules are 3-0 in league play this year.
