Colby baseball beats local rival Thomas, 8-4
WATERVILLE, Maine --
The Colby College baseball team scored five runs in the third inning to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 5-2 lead on the way to an 8-4 victory over Thomas College on Wednesday.
Vincent Domestico (Ashland, Mass.) went 3-for-4, including a double, and had three runs scored for Colby (8-15-1). Matt Gibson (Courtland, Ohio) also had three hits and drove in two runs.
Tyler Hales (Lexington, Mass.) worked the first five innings for his first collegiate victory. Owen Kenney (W. Chatham, Mass.) and Dan Deacon (Rumford, R.I.) both went two innings and did not allow an earned run in relief.
